Tools and Calculators Disclaimer

Version 1.0 — June 2026

The tools and calculators available in Norbo's Services section (the "Tools") are intended solely as an organisational and informational aid for pet owners. Please read this disclaimer carefully before using them.

What the Tools are

The Tools include, without limitation: water intake calculators, caloric calculators, ideal weight estimators, human-years age converters, Body Condition Score indicators, physical activity guides, food and plant toxicity checkers, and cost and consumption estimators. The results produced by these Tools are indicative estimates based on general formulas and average reference parameters for the animal's species or category.

What the Tools are NOT

The Tools are not, and must not be understood as:

  • veterinary or medical advice of any kind;
  • a diagnosis, prognosis, or therapeutic recommendation;
  • a prescription for diets, medications, or treatments;
  • a substitute for the clinical judgement of a qualified veterinarian.

Inherent limitations

Tool results depend on the data you enter and on general reference parameters. They do not account for pre-existing health conditions, illnesses, ongoing therapies, significant individual variation, or any other clinical circumstance specific to your animal. Two animals of the same species, breed, and weight may have very different needs.

How to use them correctly

Use the Tools as a starting point for a conversation with your vet, not as a definitive answer. For any concern about your animal's health, nutrition, or wellbeing, always consult a qualified veterinarian.

In an emergency

If your animal shows acute symptoms, unusual behaviour, or signs of distress, do not use the Tools: contact your vet or an emergency veterinary service immediately.

Liability

Marius Trica, developer of Norbo, accepts no responsibility for decisions made on the basis of Tool results, or for harm to the health or wellbeing of any animal resulting from improper use. Use of the Tools is entirely at the user's own risk.
